Our process

Step 1 - phone interview

Every project, whether a renovation, addition, or new custom home, begins with an initial phone conversation to learn more about you, your goals, and your vision for your home. This allows us to ensure we’re the right fit for one another and to answer any early questions about our process.  Once we determine there’s a strong alignment, we schedule a site visit to better understand the property and discuss next steps.

Step 2 - site meeting

We will meet with you on site to determine the scope of work, timeline, and discuss the highlights of the project.  During this time we will be gathering information, discussing basic pricing, and hearing from you about the vision for the project.   We will also discuss the tried-and-true benefits of our Pre-Construction Agreement.

Step 3: Pre-construction agreement

The Pre-Construction Agreement allows us to fully engage with you in the planning process and begin developing a detailed, realistic budget for your project. During this phase, we work through key selections such as lighting, plumbing fixtures, finishes, and materials, while also starting preliminary drawings and design coordination.  This thoughtful upfront planning ensures clarity, minimizes surprises, and sets the foundation for a smooth build—aligning expectations, costs, and timelines before construction begins.

Step 4: Finalize pricing

Once Pre-Construction phase is complete, we meet with you again on site to review the full estimate in detail. This meeting ensures every element of the scope of work is clearly defined, thoroughly accounted for, and aligned with your expectations—no assumptions, no surprises.

With the plans, scope, and budget finalized, we move forward with a signed construction contract and confirm that all financial details are in place. This step marks the transition from planning to building, setting the stage for a smooth, well-organized construction phase.

Step 5: Build

Construction begins—the realization of your project built with purpose, quality, and care.
